AVET HX Two-Speed Series Lever Drag Reels

The Avet HX5/2 (a.k.a. Hoo X) is a very popular reel for either jigging, trolling or casting. The Avet HX5/2 is perfectly suited for either mono or spectra lines. The 2-Speed gearing when set to Hi-Speed provides fast line pick or switch to Low-Speed for extra torque giving you low-end cranking power to help pull fish off the bottom. The drag can be set at an awesome 27-lbs at strike and still have free spool. Unless your Arnold Schwarzenegger, and depending on the line being used you might want to set that strike drag closer to a maximum of 20-lbs just to prevent the popping of lines, rods and muscles.
