Fisherman's Headquarters (FH) accepts major credit cards, PayPal and US Postal Service Money Order for fast order processing. Payment by personal or certified check is accepted, but these orders are not shipped until after payment clears. Checks can add 3-10+ business days to order processing. No CODs. International orders must be paid by PayPal or Wire Transfer.



Processing & Backorders

All orders are shipped as soon as possible (most within one business day of receipt) and FH strives to maintain inventory on all items. It's not always possible, so if necessary contact us to confirm live inventory. Items needed for a scheduled fishing trip, vacation, special occasion or holidays should be ordered well in advance. However, if ordering and delivery time is a concern you must let us know. This way we can accommodate your needs. Include a note when checking out in the "Ordering Instructions/Comments" section.

If an order is for multiple items and all are not in stock, we'll hold and ship all of the items together as a complete order so long as the out of stock item(s) are expected to be available soon.

If the out of stock item(s) are known to be not available at time of order receipt, the in stock item(s) on the order will ship out partial. The out of stock item(s) will be placed on backorder. All backorders are held indefinitely unless we notify you otherwise. Customers have the option to contact us at anytime to cancel backorders. When available, all backorders are shipped on us via Standard Shipping.



Shipping (Shipping, Handling & Insurance)

Looking for the easiest and most affordable shipping options in fishing tackle retail? We do our best to offer a simple, consistent, quick and low cost Standard Shipping option. Our shipping policy has not changed in over 10 years. All packages are shipped with tracking and insurance at no additional cost to you. To most destinations Standard Shipping is a 1-5 business day transit time service.

FH offers Free Standard Shipping On Order Over $125 (merchandise total) shipped within the 48 Contiguous United States (AK, HI, PR excluded). Free Shipping DOES NOT APPLY on packages greater than 84” in length or on large "oversized" and "overweight" items such as, but not limited to; fishing rods, blanks, gaffs, harpoons, coolers, cooler racks, large rod racks, beach carts as well as items weighing more than 30 pounds. These oversized/overweight items may have a $10 surcharge. All oversized/overweight packages will be shipped at the customer's expense and billed at the actual shipping cost.

For orders under $125 (merchandise total) our Standard Shipping option is a Flat $9.99 fee. This option utilizes (but not limited to) shipping services UPS Ground and USPS Priority Mail.

All HI, AK, & PR orders will have a flat $20 shipping charge.

 

Ground Service Transit Time Map See your estimated Standard Shipping transit time below. At the bottom of this page both the UPS Ground and the USPS Priority Mail Transit Time Maps are posted. Estimated transit times can vary during bad weather and holiday season. FH assumes no responsibility for late or delayed packages which are out of our control. Select orders from customers in West Coast States (CA, ID, MT, NV, OR & WA) for items only from G.Loomis and Grundens brands may have shorter transit times without an up charge.

Upon request Expedite Shipping options via UPS 3-Day, 2-Day, Next Day or USPS Express Priority are available. The actual cost of the expedited shipment fee is paid by customer (less a credit of $9.99 on orders greater than $125). You pay what we pay. Expedite shipping available only for orders within the 48 Contiguous United States.

   High Value Merchandise

Signature is required at delivery for all orders over $500. Prepare accordingly because there's only three attempts before it is returned to sender. At which time the customer will have to wait and pay for the reshipment.

   Small Orders - No Minimum Orders

Contact us for a small order reduced shipping option (First Class Mail, No Tracking, No Insurance). This option is not listed, but can be requested for use on a one-on-one basis. It is occasionally used for select  orders consisting of a very small item. An example would be an order for one or two small reel parts like a couple drag washers or an order for one pack of hooks/swivels. These orders can be sent out in a small envelop via USPS First Class Mail (no tracking, no insurance) for a reduced shipping fee. We reserve the right to refuse this option at anytime.

   Outside the 48 Contiguous United States

We ship via USPS to AK, HI and PR. Customers in Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico are charged the actual shipping cost as per USPS (less a $9.99 credit on orders greater than $125.00). All International Orders are shipped via USPS unless otherwise requested. The actual shipping cost is calculated once the order is placed and the items are packed. This cost is paid for in full by the customer before the shipment is processed. Additionally, all customs duties and VAT (value added tax) are paid by the customer directly to the carrier at the time of delivery. FH is not responsible any customs duties or related fees. Contact us at anytime for an international order shipping quote; however, customs fees are unknown.



Returns & Exchanges

Our return policy is simple because at FH it's our goal to ensure your complete satisfaction. Sometime the wrong item is ordered. Whether it is size, fit, style, fit or color we'll accept it, exchange it or return it, as long as the item(s) are in new condition just how we sent them out. Simply send the package back to us (at your expense, make sure to ship with tracking and insurance, solely the shipper's responsibility until delivered) with a copy of your invoice and a note instructing us. For example, "Exchange for size." Or, "Return for credit." Please allow 5-10 business days for a return/exchange to be received, inspected and processed. Exchange or refund amount excludes shipping charge.

Within a 10 day period of time (from delivery date), FH offers a no questions asked returns of new merchandise (must be unused). To qualify the item must be in brand new condition, not used, in their original box, including packaging materials, manuals, tags and accessories. After 10 days all returns must have our authorization (contact us) and will be subject to a 10% restocking fee unless issued store credit for future purchase. We reserve the right to refuse any return at anytime. No returns or exchanges on bait, custom and special ordered merchandise.

During the Holidays (November, December, January) we allow an extended return period to encourage early holiday shopping. These returns must be postmarked before January 31.

   Defective, Damaged, Mis-shipped Merchandise

Be sure to inspect your new purchase carefully when delivered. If you receive defective, damaged, or items that you did not order contact us immediately. This claim must be brought to our attention within two business days of delivery receipt. At no cost to you, we will correct the issue as soon as possible and provide instructions on the return of merchandise in question.
