BogaGrip Lipping Device
The BogaGrip is designed to promote "catch and release fishing," as it will land, handle, and weigh fish quickly and simultaneously without injury to the fish. The Boga Grip also affords an easy opportunity to inspect and take pictures of the fish. Since it doesn't wipe off the protective slime nor puncture the fish, and allows the fish to be quickly returned to the water, fish that are handled and released using the Boga Grip should be more likely to survive. The Boga Grip is particularly good for handling fish in cold weather, or hard-to-handle fish such as toothy fish, slimy fish, or fish that are likely to fin or cut a fisherman. It also keeps a fisherman's hand at a safer distance from hooks.

Boga Grip MATERIALS
The Boga Grip is made in the USA of USA-made materials. All metal parts of the Boga Grip are made of 300 series stainless steel, with the exception of the precision scale spring, which is 17-7 PH stainless steel. All plastic parts are made from acetal, which is a high-performance engineering thermoplastic that is used in unlubricated bearing applications. Acetal is tough and resilient and is very resistant to UV light. Constructing the BogaGrip of these materials makes it very strong and resistant to conditions encountered while fishing in fresh or saltwater.
Boga Grip HOW TO USE
In use, the fisherman will hold the grip sleeve, and using his index finger or thumb will pull back the trigger sleeve, which causes the jaws to open. The jaws then are placed around the tip of the lower jawbone of the fish, and the trigger sleeve is released. Two light coil springs push the trigger sleeve down, causing the jaws to lock shut.
The fish then is lifted, with the fish's weight causing the jaws to be pulled shut even tighter while the trigger sleeve is being continuously pushed down by the two light coil springs to lock the jaws in a progressively tighter position. This self-closing and locking ability allows the angler to maintain a secure grip on the grip sleeve without exerting any locking effort. If the fish thrashes, the main tube is allowed to spin inside the grip tube while the scale spring acts as a shock absorber.
The fish's weight is checked by reading the point that the main tube's embossed scale has been pulled down to inside the grip tubing. The fish is released by placing it down in the water, boat or on the bank, etc., and again pulling back on the trigger.
Boga Grip MAINTENANCE
Your Boga Grip requires little maintenance other than to keep it clean. Simply rinse it off with tap water when it has been exposed to muddy water or saltwater because they will leave a gritty residue if left to dry. This makes the Boga Grip's action less smooth. The Boga Grip will work fine without any lubrication, however it is advisable to put a drop or two of light machine oil on the trigger pin, jaw pin, and connecting rivets.
NOTE: Use silicone if fishing in sub-freezing weather
Sand means certain death to anything with moving parts. If you should drop the Boga Grip on the beach and get sand in it, washing it out in the water will restore it to working order. You may, when you get home, need to take it apart and do a thorough cleaning to get out all the grit and restore its smooth action.
Boga Grip CERTIFICATION
Boga Grip has been used to certify the weight of well over 3,000 IGFA World Record Fish. IGFA stands for International Game Fish Association. They are the organization that recognizes world record catches. Every year since 2004 IGFA has presented World Record Achievement Awards for the top record producing anglers and tackle manufactures. Items over 96 inches (such as one-piece rods 8 ft and longer as well as trolling motors) may be shipped via LTL Freight but the fee is paid in full by the buyer. We suggest in store pickup if possible.
International Shipping
International shipping costs, duties, and taxes are estimated at checkout using Shopify Markets. Any additional fees imposed by customs are the buyer’s responsibility. International shipping may be slow, costly, and subject to limited tracking updates. Once an order leaves our facility, delivery timelines are outside our control.
Return Eligibility
FH accepts returns on new, unused merchandise within 30 days of delivery, in original condition with all packaging, tags, manuals, and accessories included. During the holiday season, the return window is extended by an additional 30 days.
Returns after the period require prior approval (obtained by email or call) and may be subject to a 10% restocking fee.
Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method, excluding shipping costs. Shipping fees are non-refundable. Replacement shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility. FH is not responsible for excessive shipping costs incurred by the customer due to return shipping.

Orders placed with Fisherman’s Headquarters are processed quickly to ensure timely fulfillment. As a result, order cancellations are time-sensitive.
Cancellation Requests
Customers may request to cancel an order before it has been processed or shipped. Once an order is processed and shipped, it cannot be canceled and must instead follow our Return & Refund Policy.
To request a cancellation, customers must contact us AS SOON AS POSSIBLE BY PHONE (first contact choice) and if not able to connect then send an email. Be sure to include the order number. We cannot guarantee cancellation requests submitted outside of business hours.
