The Tsunami Surface Striker lure is unique among the lures available for surface fishing. It is constructed of precision injection molded high density closed cell foam. This results in a lure that casts great and is both strong and tough to stand up to big, hard fighting fish. A heavy duty, welded, through wire connects line to 4X strong treble hooks in the belly and at the tail. Both hooks are hung by stainless steel split rings that'll stand up to the elements.

Most important in the Surface Striker is the fact that it is designed to be fished "IN THE WATER SURFACE" rather than just on it. Staying "IN" the water surface means that the wave pushed ahead of a large striking fish won't move the lure away from its striking target. The completely unique feature in this lure is a pair of chambers in the belly, each is sealed by a gasketed screw and holding two-weight balls. The stock lure is delivered with two-weight balls in each chamber and this causes the lure to float nose up at almost eighty degrees to the horizontal water surface. About two inches of the front of the lure will be seen above the surface at rest. In this position, the first tug on the line will cause the lure to nose down into a horizontal position "IN" the surface of the water and move forward. Successive tugs on the line will cause the lure to dart approximately forty-five degrees to the left and right of the line of retrieve. But, that's not all. Each tug changes direction and on each change, the Surface Striker will continue to glide along for two or three lure lengths before stopping in the surface. A tug / pause action means more water covered laterally on each tug of the line in the lures' stock configuration.

Let's Play With The Weights...

Removing all of the weights from the belly chambers causes the lure to float a bit higher, still nose up at rest, and to run in the water surface a little higher. This delivers a more pop-up action on each tug of the line and, with a little work, it can be used in a pencil popper retrieve. Removing two weights from just the front chamber results in a more vertical float. The first retrieve tug will cause the lure to nose down and run just under the water surface. Removing two weights from just the rear chamber leaves a more standard float and lets the Surface Striker pivot about the belly hook for a tighter walking action on the retrieve. This is good for use in constricted or obstructed waters (rocks, weeds, etc.) and covers less water laterally. Placing all four weights in the rear chamber (yes, they'll fit) causes the Surface Striker to float almost vertically. On retrieve, it will zig zag just under the water surface and frequently pop up after a pause. With four weights in the front chamber, the Surface Striker will float as in the stock configuration with the nose up at seventy-five to eighty degrees from horizontal. Retrieve action is a much tighter zig zag pivoting about the belly hook/weight chamber and most of the action is on the water surface.

Taking Weights To The Extreme...

With four weights in the front chamber and four weights in the rear chamber, the Surface Striker barely floats nose up. It casts further though! And, retrieves result in a long-travel zig zag with the lure almost constantly under the water surface and providing the occasional pop-up.

Transit times typically range from 1–5 business days, but delivery timing is not guaranteed.

Orders under $75: $5.99 flat-rate standard shipping
Orders $75+: Free standard shipping within the 48 contiguous U.S. states only
Orders over $250 may require a delivery signature. If a package is returned after failed delivery attempts, reshipment costs are the customer’s responsibility.

Oversized & High-Value Items

Items over 72 inches or 15 lbs may incur additional shipping charges.
Items over 96 inches (such as one-piece rods 8 ft and longer as well as trolling motors) may be shipped via LTL Freight but the fee is paid in full by the buyer. We suggest in store pickup if possible.

International Shipping
International shipping costs, duties, and taxes are estimated at checkout using Shopify Markets. Any additional fees imposed by customs are the buyer’s responsibility. International shipping may be slow, costly, and subject to limited tracking updates. Once an order leaves our facility, delivery timelines are outside our control.

Return Eligibility
FH accepts returns on new, unused merchandise within 30 days of delivery, in original condition with all packaging, tags, manuals, and accessories included. During the holiday season, the return window is extended by an additional 30 days.

Returns after the period require prior approval (obtained by email or call) and may be subject to a 10% restocking fee.

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method, excluding shipping costs. Shipping fees are non-refundable. Replacement shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility. FH is not responsible for excessive shipping costs incurred by the customer due to return shipping.

Cancellation Requests

Customers may request to cancel an order before it has been processed or shipped. Once an order is processed and shipped, it cannot be canceled and must instead follow our Return & Refund Policy.

To request a cancellation, customers must contact us AS SOON AS POSSIBLE BY PHONE (first contact choice) and if not able to connect then send an email. Be sure to include the order number. We cannot guarantee cancellation requests submitted outside of business hours.
