The Penn Spinfisher VI is everything a saltwater spinning reel should be; smooth, powerful and built to last! With sizes ranging between 2500-10500, there is a Spinfisher VI for every saltwater fishing application. The ALL NEW 2500 SIZE is perfect for fishing the backwater flats, light tackle inshore, surf and kayak. The 2500 is the smallest and lightest sealed reel available. The 9500 & 10500 sizes has shark fishing to big game bluewater fishing all over it! The 3500, 4500, 5500, 6500, 7500, 8500 sizes cover every fishing in between.

Penn offers smooth powerful and durable gearing utilizing their state of the art CNC Gear Technology. Using premium materials and precise tolerances Penn machines the main, pinion and oscillating gears to deliver the ultimate in performance, durability and smoothness. The 6500 and larger sizes have machined brass gear for ultimate big fish cranking power and maximum long term performance.

The entire Penn Spinfisher VI Series has a full metal body and side plate which keeps the gears in perfect alignment even under heavy load for years of dependable use.

The 6 Shielded Stainless steel bearings (5 plus one anti-reverse one way roller bearing) offer smooth fishing use. The IPX5 seal rated body and spool protect key internal parts from moisture so there's no worry if splashed by a wave or if sprayed when running. ***This reel is not 100% waterproof and should not be submerged in sea water.

Superline spool has line capacity rings which mark the spool's capacity into thirds. This is a great line management tool when spooling up and through out the season. The spool has HT100 Carbon Fiber Drag System ultimate power and silky smooth drag.

The Penn Spingfisher VI Series is available in the following models...

Live Liner (LL) model in sizes 2500, 4500, 6500, & 8500. These are the only sealed Live Liner reels on the market! The newly resigned Live Liner System is a huge improvement! (The troublesome adjustment dial and on/off switch found in the predecessors and most of competition has been replaced improved with a surefire system.) The All New Penn Spinfisher VI Live Liner System works on a four position switch which progressively increases the Live Liner Rear Drag. With a turn of the handle, the Live Liner is automatically disengaged and the drag switches back over to the main fighting drag in the spool. The Live Liner can also be manually disengaged.

To use the Live Liner System... Flip the Live Liner Switch to (disengage the spool fighting drag and) engage the Live Liner Rear Drag. One Click, the Live Liner is activated in a light Setting which is great for small live baits in calm conditions. Two Clicks, is a medium/light and three clicks a medium/heavy. Four Clicks offers the heaviest tension for large live baits and even helps when fishing small and medium size baits in rough conditions or when more tension is required.

Bailless (BLS) models in 4500 and 6500 - For the demanding surf fisherman, the Penn Spinfisher VI Series is available in bail-less models (No Bail, Manual Pick Up) in two sizes.

Long Cast(LC) models in 5500, 6500, and 7500. These reels feature a tall and shallow spool with a very slow oscillation for perfectly level line lay. These reels are great when fishing light lures and baits and looking for ultimate casting distance. These reels have a huge following in the Eurpoean Carp market and have slowly crept into the USA. Very popular for application specific fishing;however, we do not suggest these models for chunk bait anglers fishing heavy baits and weights (4oz+).

If confused when looking at model numbers this should help break down the different Penn Spinfisher VI Models; LC = Long Cast, LL = Live Liner, BLS = Bail-less, No Suffix = Standard Full Bailed Model. For Example: SSVI7500LC is a Spinfisher VI 7500 Long Cast, SSVI6500BLS is a Spinfisher VI 6500 Bail-less, SSVI4500LL is a Spinfisher VI 4500 Live Liner. The SSVI2500 is a standard full bail spinning reel.

Shipping (Shipping, Handling, Insurance)

All packages are shipped with tracking and insurance at no additional cost to you.

To most destinations Standard Shipping is a 1-5 business day transit time service.

• Fisherman's Headquarters offers Free Standard Shipping On Orders Over $75 (merchandise total) shipped within the 48 Contiguous United States (AK, HI, PR excluded).
• Free Shipping does NOT apply  or on large "oversized" and "overweight" items such as, but not limited too; fishing rods, blanks, gaffs, harpoons, coolers, cooler racks, large rod racks, beach carts.
• For orders under $75 (merchandise total) our Standard Shipping option is a Flat $5.99 fee. 

Returns & Exchanges

• Within a 10 day period of time (from delivery date), we offer a no questions asked returns of new merchandise (must be unused). Item must be in brand new condition in their original box, including packaging materials, manuals, tags and accessories. 
• Simply send the package back to us with a copy of your invoice and a note instructing us. For example, "Exchange for size." Or, "Return for credit."
• Please allow 5-10 business days for a return/exchange to be received, inspected and processed. Exchange or refund amount excludes shipping charge.
• After 10 days all returns must be approved and will be subject to a 10% restocking fee or given store credit. Please contact us for approval.

We reserve the right to refuse any return at anytime. No returns or exchanges on bait, custom and special ordered merchandise.

Heavy Merchandise

• Packages greater than 72" in length are considered "Heavy Merchandise", "Oversized", and "Overweight" packages. 
• These items will require an additional shipping cost due to size and weight. 

High Value Merchandise

• Signature is required at delivery for all orders over $500. Prepare accordingly because there's only three attempts before it is returned to sender. At which time the customer will have to wait and pay for the reshipment.
