Looking for the easiest and most affordable shipping options in fishing tackle retail? We do our best to offer a simple, consistent, quick and low cost Standard Shipping option. All packages are shipped with tracking and insurance at no additional cost to you. To most destinations Standard Shipping is a 1-5 business day transit time service.

  • Fisherman's Headquarters offers Free Standard Shipping On Orders Over $75 (merchandise total) shipped within the 48 Contiguous United States (AK, HI, PR excluded). Free Shipping DOES NOT APPLY on packages greater than 72" in length or on large "oversized" and "overweight" items such as, but not limited to; fishing rods, blanks, gaffs, harpoons, coolers, cooler racks, large rod racks, beach carts. These oversized/overweight items may have a surcharge. All oversized/overweight packages will be shipped at the customer's expense and billed at the actual shipping cost. Fisherman's Headquarters reserves the right to refuse free shipping on any order at anytime.
  • For orders under $75 (merchandise total) our Standard Shipping option is a Flat $5.99 fee. This option utilizes (but not limited to) shipping services USPS First Class, USPS Parcel Select, USPS Priority Mail, and UPS Ground.

High Value Merchandise
Signature is required at delivery for all orders over $500. Prepare accordingly because there's only three attempts before it is returned to sender. At which time the customer will have to wait and pay for the reshipment.

Heavy Merchandise
Some items may require an additional shipping cost due to weight and size. These items are not considered "High Value" (unless over $500). Items that require extra shipping cost are priced accordingly.

Contact Us For An International Order Shipping Quote - All orders outside of the 48USA, ship via USPS. At check out all outside 48USA orders are pre-authorized for a $45 shipping fee; however the actual shipping cost of the USPS Service is charged, captured. This shipping cost is unknown until after the order is placed or if an email international shipping quote request is sent. Shipping is paid in full by the customer, no promotion or discounts apply. *All customs duties and VAT (value added tax) are paid by the customer, directly to the carrier at the time of delivery. Fisherman's Headquarters is unaware and not responsible any customs duties or related fees.

USPS advertises but does not guarantee, actual transit times may vary... USPS First Class International Service: poor tracking, transit time not provided. USPS Priority International Service: better tracking, transit time is about 6-10 business days to many major markets.

Upon request Expedite Shipping options via UPS 3-Day, 2-Day, Next Day or USPS Express Priority are available. The actual cost of the expedited shipment fee is paid by customer. You pay what we pay. Expedite shipping available only for orders within the 48 Contiguous United States.

Returns & Exchanges
Our return policy is simple because at Fishermans Headquarters it's our goal to ensure your complete satisfaction. Sometime the wrong item is ordered. Whether it is size, fit, style, fit or color we'll accept it, exchange it or return it, as long as the item(s) are in new condition just how we sent them out. Simply send the package back to us (at your expense, make sure to ship with tracking and insurance, solely the shipper's responsibility until delivered) with a copy of your invoice and a note instructing us. For example, "Exchange for size." Or, "Return for credit." Please allow 5-10 business days for a return/exchange to be received, inspected and processed. Exchange or refund amount excludes shipping charge.

Within a 10 day period of time (from delivery date), Fisherman's Headquarters offers a no questions asked returns of new merchandise (must be unused). To qualify the item must be in brand new condition, not used, in their original box, including packaging materials, manuals, tags and accessories. After 10 days all returns must have our authorization (contact us) and will be subject to a 10% restocking fee unless issued store credit for future purchase. We reserve the right to refuse any return at anytime. No returns or exchanges on bait, custom and special ordered merchandise.

During the Holidays (November, December, January) we allow an extended return period to encourage early holiday shopping. These returns must be postmarked before January 31.

Defective, Damaged, Mis-shipped Merchandise
Be sure to inspect your new purchase carefully when delivered. If you receive defective, damaged, or items that you did not order contact us immediately. This claim must be brought to our attention within two business days of delivery receipt. At no cost to you, we will correct the issue as soon as possible and provide instructions on the return of merchandise in question.

All packages are shipped with tracking and insurance. Many destinations within the US have a 1-5 business day transit time.

Processing & Backorders

  • All orders are shipped as soon as possible (most within 1-2 days of receipt). FH strives to maintain inventory on all items; however, stock outs occur. To confirm inventory, especially on orders with a tight deadline (scheduled fishing trip, vacation, special occasion, holidays) contact us. Let us know and we’ll do our best to accommodate your needs.

  • If an order is for multiple items and all are not in stock, we'll hold and ship all of the items together as a complete order so long as the out of stock item(s) are expected to be available soon.

  • If the out of stock item(s) are known to be unavailable, contact will be made to explore options, substitute / wait / cancel.

Oversized Merchandise

  • Packages over 72 inches in length and/or weighing more than 15 lbs may be classified as oversized or heavy merchandise. This includes fishing rods and other large items. 

  • Packages over 96 inches (such as 1-piece rods 8 feet and longer) cannot be shipped and must be picked up in-store. This restriction does not apply to two-piece rods of any length.

  • These products are not eligible for free shipping, and additional shipping fees may be automatically applied at checkout.

High Value Merchandise

  • Signature may be required at delivery for orders over $250. Prepare accordingly. After three attempts by courier the package is returned to the sender. At which time the customer will have to wait for reshipment and pay for the transit costs.

  • If the customer fails to pay transit costs for the reshipment, the order will be cancelled and refunded less actual shipping costs. 

International Shipping & Customs Information

  • We utilize Shopify Markets to estimate shipping costs, duties, and taxes for most international orders. These fees are typically accurate and automatically calculated at checkout. However, in some cases, adjustments may be needed manually. Please note that any additional duties, taxes, or customs-related charges upon delivery are the buyer’s responsibility. We are not able to provide specific customs information for each country.
  • International orders may ship via USPS/Global Post, DHL, or UPS.
  • Please be aware that international shipping can be slow, costly, and subject to limited tracking updates. Once your package leaves our facility, delivery timelines and tracking details are beyond our control. It’s common for packages to experience delays or sit idle at distribution centers for extended periods—sometimes several weeks or even a couple of months. We ask for your patience and understanding during this process.
  • We reserve the right to cancel or refuse any order at our discretion.

Shipping Protection Policy

At Fisherman’s Headquarters, we take great care in packing and shipping your orders, however things can happen in transit. To provide added peace of mind, we offer optional shipping insurance to protect your purchase in the event of loss, or damage during transit.

Coverage Includes:

  • Lost Packages: If your order is not delivered and is deemed lost by the carrier
  • Damaged Items: If your item arrives broken due to shipping-related damage

Coverage Does Not Include:

  • Packages postmarked as delivered to the correct address
    – If carrier's tracking shows the package was delivered then the shipping protection is void.
  • Packages delivered to incorrect addresses due to customer error
    – If the shipping address was entered incorrectly at checkout the coverage is void
  • Theft without supporting evidence
    – Claims of theft without sufficient documentation (such as a police report) may be denied

Insurance Fees:

  • Orders within the lower 48 USA - $1.99
  • All international orders - $9.99

Shipping insurance can be selected at checkout. If you choose to decline coverage, Fisherman’s Headquarters is not responsible for items lost, stolen, or damaged after leaving our facility.

Online Returns

Fisherman’s Headquarters offers a 15 day return window on new merchandise. Items must be in brand-new, unused condition, with all original packaging, materials, manuals, tags, and accessories included. After 15 days, returns require prior approval and may be subject to a 10% restocking fee. Please contact us for authorization before returning any items. During the holiday season, to support early shopping, we extend the return window by an additional 15 days.

  • FH does not cover return or exchange shipping costs if the items were received as ordered.

  • Upon request, we can provide a return shipping label, with the cost deducted from your refund or billed as part of an exchange. This option is often more affordable than shipping via FedEx or UPS directly. Contact us to begin the process.

No Return or Exchange Policy

Fisherman’s Headquarters does not accept returns or exchanges on the following items:

  • Live Bait – Due to the perishable nature of live bait, all sales are final.

  • Special Orders – Items specially ordered at a customer’s request cannot be returned or exchanged.

  • Reels with Custom Line Spooling – Once a reel has been spooled with custom line, it is considered personalized and cannot be returned or exchanged.
